Jesus saved me, and I testify to His Grace!
Encountering the Bible, Jesus, Transformation, and Baptism
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, (Colossians 3:9-10)
In 2020, I was introduced to something completely new to me—the fact that the Bible is backed by real historical evidence.
It was all so strange and unfamiliar to me. I started asking myself: How is this possible?
To me, the Bible just seemed unnecessary—something priests read from during church services. That's it, no further emotions.
I remember telling people that God didn’t exist. At the same time, I was living a secular, self-driven lifestyle—shaped by poor decisions and bad choices that eventually led me into emotional emptiness and deep suffering.
I was desperate for purpose. I could feel that something greater was missing.
In the summer of 2021, decided to read the Bible—to really see what it’s all about.
My First Encounters: I Didn't Expect This
When I first opened the Bible, I had no idea where to begin. I knew nothing about Scripture—not the content, the people, or even the stories.
All I saw were unfamiliar words and texts—so different from anything I had seen before. At first, none of it made sense to me, and I wasn’t even sure I would like this Book. But in that season of my life, I needed something greater than what the world was offering—so I didn’t give up.
One day, I opened my Bible—just like before, not knowing what to read. But I couldn’t believe what I saw. The words spoke directly to the very personal questions I had been carrying in my heart. It felt like an answer to something I hadn’t even said out loud. I was amazed.
I tried to make sense of what had just happened. Could the Bible really speak to me?
I decided to try again—bringing my questions directly to it. And you know what? The words spoke to me again. And then again.
Wow!
And in that moment, I remember thinking,
Am I really experiencing this?
Is this actually happening in real life?
It felt surreal.
I didn’t expect much from the Bible. But when the words, phrases, and meanings touched the core of my being, I knew that what I was reading was TRUE and PURE—pure and real! I just knew it, and I couldn’t believe it.
How incredible is that!
I experienced the truth! It was the TRUTH—and even more, the truth in LOVE!
A deep, undeniable sense of FAIRNESS and CLARITY.
Surprising Actuality: What the Bible Really Is
That powerful sense of truth made me question everything I had ever believed about the world of the Bible—and the world itself. And I had to agree that I was completely wrong.
During my short 4 year journey of faith, I’ve learned that all the answers are found in the Bible — the holy source of wisdom.
The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s something far beyond this world.
It feels like a divine system, a kind of spiritual matrix, or even a some kind of quantum mechanism.
I’m telling you—it’s far more complex and alive than I ever imagined!
Exactly! The Bible is alive! And the reality is, the Bible speaks directly to the present moment. It knows you. It reveals who you truly are, reaching into your deepest thoughts and desires.
Whenever I open the Bible with an open heart, I find guidance. I find the truth I had always been searching for—without even knowing it was here all along.
It teaches divine wisdom—far deeper than any knowledge known to man.
The Bible is the gateway to the essence of the universe.
The Bible is written for every soul.
The Bible carries eternal truth.
The Bible is the connection to your spiritual journey.
The Bible is a powerful tool for understanding the laws of this world.
The Bible is the most foundational historical document of everything that has value.
The Bible reveals the power in the name of Jesus Christ—bringing healing, freedom, and salvation to those who believe.
The Bible is an education.
The Bible is filled with the truest wisdom—things that hold deep purpose, love, kindness, compassion, and courage all at once.
Every time, I discover something new—something that shapes me, challenges me, and draws me closer to the person I’m meant to be.
Peace and happiness, joy and sorrow, love and edification, forgiveness and blessing, humiliation, comfort, and discipline—every possible life situation is addressed in the Bible.
Through the Bible, I’ve come to understand what it means to live an upright, sober-minded, and peaceful life—and for the first time, I felt truly educated, even though I’m still learning every day.
Over the same past 4 years, I’ve been reading Scripture, getting to know Jesus Christ, living out His teachings, learning to trust God, and growing spiritually.
To my surprise, the Bible has become my favourite book of all time. After getting into it, I honestly can’t read anything else—nothing compares anymore.
The Bible feels endless, like there’s always something new to discover.
The impact it’s had on me is truly incredible. I can’t even find the right words to explain what it’s like to actually live through this Book.
I’m completely drawn in, and I deeply believe everyone should see this book as their lifeline.
The Bible doesn’t just answer life’s difficult questions; it reveals a profound truth that helps people understand everything around us: how this life works, what is right and wrong, and why.
The Bible is a living testament to the existence of Jesus Christ. Through His life and His words, He shows us how to love, how to live, how to communicate, how to work, how to think, and even how to fight. It’s all there.
Understanding the Bible brings life-changing moments—encounters with knowledge and wisdom that awaken the heart and soul, touching every part of who we are: emotionally, spiritually, and even physically at times. Yes—spiritual life is real. God is real. Jesus Christ is real. The Holy Spirit is real.
The Bible speaks directly to the reader. It speaks the truth—and only the truth. It remains; it doesn’t change; it is eternal. Whether you choose to accept that truth or not, it remains the highest form of truth because the Bible is God’s Living Word. Through its pages, Heaven speaks—and experiencing this is simply incredible, believe me.
My First Encounter with Jesus: Clueless but Curious
Once, I found myself turning over a few questions in my mind:
Is faith all about Jesus only? What about Mary, His mother? I know a church which give a lot of attention to her and many other figures—so why is it only Jesus?
Why is Jesus so important?
At this point, I was already drawn to the Bible—I knew I had to keep reading to truly understand it all. I genuinely wanted to understand Jesus Christ’s origin and the deeper meaning behind. I only knew basic information about Him.
Because the Bible had already proven to me that it is real, I needed to discover the truth for myself by going straight to what’s actually written about Jesus in the Bible!
And here’s a verse from the Bible that confused me even more:
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)
What did that even mean? Why only through Him? What’s going on here?
I felt curious and wanted to understand this whole Jesus situation, so I began my journey to discover the deeper truth.
Unlocking the Meaning of Jesus: Why He Matters
Jesus is far more than a historical figure—He is a living and active presence, a source of Heavenly power that continues to transform lives daily.
He has changed the lives of all who believe in Him, and He remains our light, our guide, and the source of all that is truly good.
Knowing and believing in Jesus transforms our entire being. He opens our eyes to the deeper truths of the universe.
Jesus Christ is the purest person who ever walked the Earth. He never sinned, lied, harmed, or rejected anyone unjustly. Instead, He always showed compassion and love, healed the sick, fed the hungry, and set the perfect example of how humans should live!
As I read the Bible, I realised an essential, life-changing truth I had never understood before:
God revealed Himself to us through Jesus Christ, and by believing in Him, we receive the greatest blessings imaginable — in this life and in life after death, which is called eternity or eternal life.
He died on the cross and rose from the dead to atone for our sins, making it possible for us to enter the kingdom of Heaven and receive that eternal life. We just have to believe!
Jesus had to die on the cross because sin separates humanity from God, and the punishment for sin is death—both spiritual and physical.
Sin creates a barrier between humans and God, making us unable to enter His kingdom on our own, because we are not perfect. God’s standards are set to perfection.
Only JESUS CHRIST is perfect. He is the reflection of who God is. Jesus is God.
Sin, as described in the Bible, is any thought, action, or attitude that goes against God’s will, His moral law, and His perfect nature. It is the rebellion of the human heart against God, leading to separation from Him, guilt, and spiritual brokenness. Sin is not just wrongdoing—it is anything that falls short of God’s holiness, whether in thoughts, words, or deeds.
The Bible shows that sin affects our relationship with God, with others, and even with ourselves, bringing harm, emptiness, and spiritual death if left unaddressed.
The real problem is not occasional sins, but that we, human beings, are sinners by nature. Here’s what the Bible says about it:
“None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.” (Romans 3:10–12)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23)
The Bible teaches that God’s justice demands a payment for sin, but Jesus’ death on the cross provides salvation, offering a way for people to be forgiven and restored. Salvation frees a person from guilt, spiritual death, and eternal separation from God as stated in Romans 6:23:
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
And because only Jesus was the sinless Man, He was able to bear our punishment—no one else!
And this is truly monumental, dear friends!
Without His sacrifice, we would remain separated from God and from all the tremendous goodness He offers!
Another important truth is that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation—there is no other way to receive it from God. It is stated in Acts 4:12, John 5:24, and many other Bible verses, meaning that ONLY through faith in Jesus can we receive forgiveness, eternal life, and reconciliation with God!
To clarify, eternal life is more than simply “living forever”—it is a lasting relationship with God, accessible only through Jesus Christ.
Those who enter the Kingdom will experience unending fellowship with God, perfect peace, immeasurable joy, freedom from sin and death, and an inheritance that will never fade!
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
“And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:7)
Wow!
And that’s not all—there is so much more to know about Jesus Christ.
In Scripture, the name of Jesus speaks not only of His victory over sin and death, but also of His position as Lord, providing us with divine protection and unbelievable miracles.
Recognising this is key, and that’s why, in Mark 16:15-18, Jesus says:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
These are not personal abilities, but authorities. They come from Jesus Himself and His supreme Name, entrusted to believers so that His mission and Kingdom can advance in both the physical and spiritual realms. Here's quick explanation:
Casting out demons – Believers can command evil spirits to leave in Jesus’ Name, freeing people from spiritual oppression.
Speaking in new tongues – The Holy Spirit enables believers to speak in languages for prayer, worship, or spreading the gospel.
Healing the sick – By laying hands on the sick in Jesus’ Name, believers can see God’s healing power at work.
Protection from harm – Believers are promised divine protection, even in dangerous situations, as a demonstration of God’s power and care.
Even if it sounds daunting or too complicated for someone just beginning this journey, once you believe in Jesus, get baptized and follow His path, being a Christian becomes a profound honour!
And that is not all!
"All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." (John 1:3)
The whole Bible is about Jesus.
Everything points to Him.
Everything.
My Journey of Faith: The Changes I Lived Through
When I look back at where I was before I met Jesus, I see how deeply God has transformed me. I was frozen. His love renewed my heart, filling me with hope, purpose, and peace like never before.
In Him, I discovered the purpose I had longed for all my life—for Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
When I began to truly read the Bible, everything started to change: the world around me, the people I spent time with, the conversations I held, the decisions I made, as well as my character, wardrobe, shoes, eating habits, inner strength, and even self-control.
The wisdom of the Bible is the truest education of all!
I learned that spiritual life plays the biggest role in our lives! I began to rely on God.
Everything I had been missing and searching for—without even knowing what it was—has now been found in faith through Jesus Christ: His heavenly wisdom, truth, empathy, righteousness, grace…
Now, I know the source of my life, and I know I can trust Him completely—even though trusting isn’t always easy at the beginning.
I have to admit, change is painful.
Living as a biblical Christian demands a deep commitment to the process and a clear understanding of your goal—to trust God completely. Surrendering your life to Him requires sacrifice. Yet it is crucial to recognise the outcome, for everything is ultimately for your own good, because God knows what is best for us, His believers, friends, and children.
Because of His grace, I was able to leave behind my past, darkened by unfaithfulness and disobedience.
By His grace, I am freed from meaningless, never-ending suffering.
Without faith, prayer in Jesus Christ’s name, and God’s guidance, I wouldn’t have been able to overcome any of my battles.
At Last: Born-again and Baptised
Today, I’m no longer the person I used to be—because real change has taken place.
Now, I’m a born-again Christian, baptized on May 25, 2023.
Biblically, being born-again happens when a person places faith in Jesus, repents of sin, and receives the Holy Spirit, while baptism is the outward expression of this change.
Baptism is essential for those who believe in Jesus Christ and seek salvation and eternal life in the kingdom of God after bodily death on earth. The new birth transforms desires, priorities, and actions—the fruit of the Spirit begins to appear, empowering the believer to live according to God’s will.
This journey has completely transformed the way I see the world—and the way I feel, think, and respond to life’s challenges, which now carry a whole new perspective.
None of this would have been possible without finding and holding onto my faith. Only God could save me—and He did. God is gracious.
God is good. He loves us unconditionally and endlessly.
Thank you, Jesus, with all my heart.
Amen.
“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)
Thank you!
All Scripture quoted is from the NKJV.
